My name is Julia Barch I was born on April 8, 1993.I grew up in West Palm Beach Florida with my Mother, Father, and younger Brother. I am a very active person and I started playing sports from a young age, if you name a sport I have played it. I went to Poinciana elementary school and Don Estridge middle school. When I was in elementary school my family adopted a puppy named buddy, he is the definition of a “mutt.” In middle school, I took multiple communications classes and was an anchor on the "Dragons Den" school news team. As I was very interested in communications at the time I was offered the opportunity to work in a documentary in the Grand Canyon in Arizona, It was called “Into the canyon” and it was an experience that I will truly never forget. Before entering high school my entire family went on a trip to Dublin, Ireland & all-across Italy. During the trip, we visited the leaning tower of Pisa, the Colosseum, and visited extended family that lives in Italy. At Park Vista Community high school, I was accepted into the Health Sciences Academy that has taught me so much about the medical field. I interned at JFK Hospital with doctors and nurses. At the completion of the four-year course, I became a certified medical administrative assistant, and was certified in working an AED and in CPR. I ran for the cross-country and track team. I participated in key club and was an avid volunteer in Special Olympics. I was president and secretary of the ecology club. I received awards for completing over 100 community service hours, completing over 200 community service hours , over-all excellence in social sciences and the shining star award. I just recently graduated from Park Vista Community High school, now I am currently enrolled at Florida Gulf Coast University I plan to major in nursing. My ultimate dream would be to become an oncology nurse at St.Judes children hospital. Directly after I graduate with my degree I would like to join the Peace Corps , after I’m done serving my term I would go directly into my field.
Julia, I liked the fact that you were on your schools news team. I'm majoring in communications and I would like to pursue a career in Sports Broadcasting or writing. I also found your community service to be quite impressive.
